I grew up in the suburbs east of Seattle, and came to Bellingham to go to WWU. Spending a lot of the early part of my career working at sea, I founded and ran a successful marine services business, I have raced sailboats offshore, and I worked in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on research ships doing seafloor mapping and servicing buoys for NOAA that track weather trends. Trading all of that for a new life tracking financial trends while still providing high level of service to my clients, I joined Waddell & Reed in 2019.

I believe the best way to have success in business is to take care of people. I learned this by growing that business earlier in my career: with only a tool bag at first, I started doing boat repairs, and over a period of years grew that vocation into a successful marine services business that employed 16 people and earned over $3.5 million in annual revenue.

My work at sea has taken me around the world. I've worked on yachts in Italy and the Netherlands, on ships from Antarctica and Asia, but I'm most at home here in Bellingham. I love being able to walk to work, take advantage of the mountain bike trails at Galbraith, or volunteer as a board member of the Bellingham Bay Community Boating Center. Along with my wife, who's a nurse at PeachHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, we live, work and play with our two children here.

I am a fully licensed financial advisor, with Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses through LPL Financial.
